Tamim - we have rolling blackouts here because we can't meat power demands. Read the entry 'Hello Darkness My Old Friend' for more details.

Smilo - I'm South African and I support SA. I didn't expect us to lose 5-0. I was trying to be objective. I still think a draw was a fair result. The truth is that when Angola had the lead in the 2nd half, they allowed us to attack and they were trying to soak up pressure. That's why we looked like the better team. But it was tactical. Either way, a draw was fair, and either team could've won.

Elyaas - Great points, especially about Benni. I didn't even think of that as a possible reason for his omission!

It was an improved performance than the previous games of garbage. Areas of improvement necessary...CAP must drop players who give away possession too often (like Mokoena) and the long ball game when we fall behind. Players need to be more patient in possesion and probe the gaps. Long range shooting improved. Midfield possion of the ball improved but Zuma cant play alone - he is not a holding type player... Fanteni can though and is a better allround striker. Bryce Moon and Modise had good games and look the part. We need to develop this style of short passing game and then set up the shot at goal quickly...this style suits our players physique and skills. With player like Benni in the team, we can adapt tactics and have more options but it was a tactical masterstroke to leave him out as he too often carries the team and the blame if we perform poorly. Leaving him out forces other players to perform and not depend on Benni for goals. The way the guys pressured opponents in midfield was great and the strength in the tackle and challenge will be needed in the modern game.

MAKE US PROUD GUYS.

The guy who wrote that nonsense about Mr CAP watching the game with green and gold tinted glasses firmly fixed to his head, i wonder if that was not him? My man, were u watching the same game? coz wat u said is total nonsense. Bafana bafana played well in their opening game and thats the end. I know some people do not want to except the fact that they did not lose 5-0 as many have expected.
